During the period from 16 to 18 October 2019 the NCSP of MoH of RK and GF PIU specialists conducted a visit to USA, New Mexico, Albuquerque to participate at the immersion training for introduction of the “ECHO TB KZ” project.

During the period from 16 to 18 October 2019 the NCSP of MoH of RK and GF PIU specialists conducted a visit to USA, New Mexico, Albuquerque to participate at the immersion training for introduction of the “ECHO TB KZ” project.  

Purpose of a trip is to learn best practices of introduction of the ECHO Model for a successful launch in Kazakhstan.

In total over 100 persons from various USA States, Tibet, Kazakhstan and other countries all over the world participated at the training.  

TB and PHC services of the country are in great need of telemedicine, distant education forms and consultations development. The “ECHO TB KZ” project will promote rendering of healthcare services to patients on the “Here and now” principal through use of an innovative distant consultations and training model, team package approach to the medical training and patients’ management.    

In the course of the 3-day training the Mission and vision of the Project ECHO were presented and covered, clarifications on core principals of the ECHO model, review of an information technology were provided. All training’ participants took part in operation of the ECHO model in practice.

Within the visit the bilateral meetings with the director of the ECHO Project Dr. Sanjeev Arora and the senior associate director Bruce Struminger were held.   

At the end of the training the Statement of collaboration between NSCP of MoH of RK and Project ECHO, Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Project ECHO Intellectual property terms of use agreement were discussed and submitted for signature.
