Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have signed the memorandum of tuberculosis control

The National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republican Center for the Protection of the Population from Tuberculosis of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan have been signed a memorandum of cooperation and joint activities in the fight against tuberculosis and respiratory diseases.

The document was signed on December 19 as part of the Days of Kazakh Medicine in Tajikistan between Lyazzat Yeraliyeva and Tajik representative Rajabzoda Asliddin.

The memorandum should provide for the conduct of joint research, seminars, the exchange of professional experience, data, the introduction of high technology in the treatment process.

The parties agreed to develop cooperation in training scientific personnel, doctors and students.  In particular, the document provides for joint work on infection control, transboundary tuberculosis, modern methods for early detection and diagnosis of the disease, clinical trials of drugs and the creation of a national multisectoral accountability mechanism.
